Hi,
I am a postgraduate student Specializing in Endodontics. I am keen to purchase my first set of loupes. Can someone pls guide me as to what is the best magnification I should go for. I am 5′6.

For Endodontics it is typically suggested that the loupes be of higher magnification. A kepelerian style prism loupe will probably be your best bet. There are many factors with loupes that are personal to the person using them. However, many people who are involved in endo prefer higher magnification loupes with a narrower field of view. Here is the best example of what I am referring to Endodontic Loupes

Hello,
I am a first year dental student… I am I little lost about which loupes to purchase that would suit me better through out my dental career… I’m trying to figure out which style of loupes are better to work with…the attached loupes or the flip….I hear pros and cons about both but I cant decide which ones will work best.
Thanks… Latasha

Hi,
Can you help me? I am a dental student and I have been researching dental loupes. It is important to me to find the right style, design and magnification for me. I want these to last me for awhile and be comfortable and easy to wear. A fellow student just purchased a pair that I really like a lot. They are beautiful, lightweight and come in 2.5, 3.0 and 3.5 magnification and they feel great on. They are Hogies by Perioptix and can be found at perioptix. Can you check them out and tell me what you think? I really want to make the right choice for me. Thanks, Ashley

I will be going to the Chicago Midwinter Dental next week. What loupes do you suggest I look for as a first year dental student?
Thanks, Kevin
